Opinel No.08 Raw Cherry Wood Folding Knife (Ebauche)

I bought this to try my hand at carving, and it's perfect. The raw wood is smooth and easy to shape. I've already started customizing it with a simple design. The blade is sharp out of the box. Great value!

Good quality knife. The wood is raw, so you can finish it as you like. I stained mine and it looks great. The blade is carbon steel and holds an edge. Only issue is that it's a bit stiff to open, but that's normal for Opinels.

This is my third Opinel. I love that the handle is blank. I carved my initials and applied oil. It's become a favorite. The blade is sharp and the locking mechanism works well.

The knife looks nice, but the wood cracked after a few days. I didn't even use it hard. Disappointed. Maybe I got a bad one, but not happy.

For the sale price, this is a steal. The cherry wood is beautiful, and the blade is sharp. It takes a keen edge. I've already made several small carvings. The handle is comfortable. Would buy again.
