Opinel No.08 Laminated Birch Folding Knife

The laminated birch handle is beautiful – it has a unique grain and feels smooth. The blade is sharp and the locking mechanism is secure. Comes in a nice gift box too. This is my new favorite EDC.

The knife is well-made and the handle is gorgeous. However, it's a bit heavier than I expected for its size. But it's sturdy and will last a long time. Good for outdoor use.

The knife is excellent – sharp and smooth action. However, the birch is quite light in color, and I prefer darker wood. But that's just personal preference. The quality is top-notch.

The knife is solid and the handle is great. But the blade was only moderately sharp – I had to sharpen it myself. Once sharpened, it's excellent. So, not a deal-breaker.
